Recognizing Dr. James Free and his wife’s commitment to primary care the H. James Free, MD, Center for Primary Care Education and Innovation was established

The Free Center actively promotes research in Primary Care including topics such as “Primary Care Physician Satisfaction”, “Patient Quality”, “Hospital Readmissions” and “Healthy Populations”. 

Academic Health Center opened in 1956 with a mission to increase Florida’s supply of highly qualified physicians, provide advanced health-care services to the citizens of Florida and foster discovery in health research.

There are many ways to get involved at the UF College of Medicine through many types of Interest Groups.
