About Maria N Kelly

Hi! My name is Dr. Maria N. Kelly and I’ve been a “GATOR” since college. I received my undergraduate, medical school and pediatric residency training all from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. As a pediatrician at UF, my current duties include the clinical care of patients, medical education of residents and medical students and clinical research. I currently care for patients independently at UF outpatient clinics and I also serve as a preceptor for medical students and residents. My research interest is medical education and clinical quality and I have presented nationally on these topics. I enjoy caring for children with a multitude of diseases while also promoting healthy living. As a general pediatrician at the University of Florida, my clinical duties include serving as an attending physician to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients at the University of Florida pediatric clinics and UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. As Assistant Dean and Chief Medical Officer, I provide physician leadership to ensure a patient-centric clinical environment and the highest quality of medical care and patient safety in all University of Florida Health Physicians practices. I’m honored to be a part of our “Gator Nation”!
